  • This summer, we hired two incredible interns from Year Up, an organization that enables young adults to move from minimum wage to meaningful careers in just one year. Meet Deja, a Year Up project management intern who reflects on her past six months here at DH:

    “Interning at Digitas Health has been a wonderful experience thus far. From the moment I walked into the doors of this company I knew I would be introduced to opportunities I always wanted to be a part of. The diversity and culture within DH allows you to express your individuality to succeed in your role. My favorite part about interning at Digitas Health is that I was able to enhance and develop skills to be successful in a corporate agency. These few months have taught me so much about proactive communication, multitasking, and being team-oriented. Attending the Early Careers Workshop and Community Service Day was also an exciting experience, I was able to network and hear the stories of incredible folks apart of the industry. I hope to continue to grow here and become a vital asset to the organization!”

It’s easy for anyone to say that they’re an ally, but we should always be sure to back up that statement with our actions to fully support and lift up marginalized people, both within and outside of the LGBTQIA+ community. Being a “flaming ally” is an ongoing process of learning and growth. As long as we’re honest and sincere with our actions, and as long as we always push ourselves to do our best allyship, we can reach a point where everyone feels like they belong regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.”
