  • What we do today, determines how we live tomorrow. - John Spence #MotivationMonday

  • A hero is defined as someone who is admired for their courage, achievements and noble qualities. #Healthcareheroes do not necessarily wear scrubs. One example is Johnny, at our PowerBack Exton Center in PA, who is the face of the Facilities Department and meets our guests to ensure their physical environment is comforting and safe. He is constantly adapting our facility to the ever changing needs by servicing specialty equipment and installing hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. Johnny shares, “My biggest achievement as a #genesishero is making our patients smile in a time of the unknown. I work at Genesis HealthCare because I care deeply." So, what's your superpower? Join our heroes today! #nowhiring #stillhiring #heroesworkhere

  • Staying Informed...Genesis remains committed to keeping families updated about the situation at our facilities, and how their loved ones are doing. Keeping families informed is our top priority. Thank you, Dick Mackey, nephew of resident Virginia Bretchel, for sharing his kind words, and for Courtney Wood for sharing this fun selfie!...“Even during this time of the pandemic, I’m very happy with the care that she’s gotten. The administrator at the facility has had a Zoom call every day to keep everyone updated. The nursing home always calls me whenever there is an issue. I couldn’t be happier with the place.” #heroesworkhere #keepingfamiliesinformed #caredeeply

  • We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are. - Max Depree

  • JoAnne Reifsnyder, PhD, MBA, MSN, FAAN, Genesis Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations & Chief Nursing Officer today accepted an award for the Genesis' Universal Flu Vaccination Program in an NAIIS Virtual Ceremony

  • June 19th is a day of reflection, but it is also a day of celebration as it marks the end of slavery in the United States. Often referred to as Juneteenth, is the longest recorded celebration of the emancipation of African Americans with the earliest documented celebrations dating back to 1866. In alignment with our core values of honesty and integrity, we acknowledge that Black History is American History, and we commemorate Juneteenth to raise awareness of the pain and the struggle experienced throughout our history, along with the steps our Nation has taken and will continue to take towards redemption and the celebration this day of observation represents. Throughout this day, and in the days to follow we encourage you to take time to reflect, to continue to expand your knowledge, to embrace a moment of silence, to engage in community service, to let your voice be heard and to celebrate the day that the Nation began to fulfill the promise of the Declaration of Independence for African Americans. #juneteenth

  • The Supreme Court made a landmark decision that protects gay, lesbian, and transgender workers from employment discrimination. Its ruling extends anti-discrimination protections in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include sexual orientation and gender identity. This long overdue decision carries tremendous significance, and this protection is an important step in safeguarding the rights of many members of our community. While Genesis already had a non-discrimination policy in place that encompassed sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and transgender status, we celebrate this decision alongside our friends in the LGBTQ community who now have greater protections across the board. At no time should an employee feel threatened, unsafe, fearful, or “less than” because of any of our human demographic differences, including how we identify and who we love. Love is love...Let us continue to build our communities by honoring, respecting, and appreciating the individual differences that each one of us brings to the table. #loveislove #LGBTQ #Genesisheroes
