As we reaffirm our commitment to positive change by making the implicit much more explicit, we celebrate all races, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientation, and gender identities. Senior leaders from across Helen of Troy recently gathered in Atlanta to Learn, Engage, Activate, Discover at the inaugural #LEAD2020 conference. During the three-day event, participants heard from thought leaders on topics such as “shadow of the leader,” “embracing the suck,” design thinking principles, and moving from a fixed mindset to growth mindset. On the final day, our leaders collaborated and competed in a #hackathon that left everyone energized and eager to implement key learnings from #LEAD2020.

We’re thrilled by the enthusiasm Helen of Troy associates share for community engagement, professional growth, and personal well-being. Throughout 2019, associates participated in numerous initiatives and events that support their passions. From volunteer outings to fitness programs, our associates embraced opportunities to give back to our communities and further their personal and professional growth.
Earlier this fall, Wellness Champions from across Helen of Troy locations attended the Wellness Summit FY20 at our Olive Branch, Mississippi office. During the three-day summit, Wellness Champions discussed location-specific health challenges, designed a year-round activity plan, and brainstormed new engagement strategies. We’re grateful for their commitment to improving Health & Wellness throughout the organization.
For two days this summer, OXO associates in the New York office participated in the Electric Idea Circus. The associate-led design sprint event prompted teams to explore projects related to themes of Shifting Diets, Zero Waste Office, OXO History and more. The solutions teams came up with included new product prototypes, office improvements and new processes.
On August 9th, Hydro Flask celebrated its 10-year anniversary. The celebration festivities in Bend, Oregon included live musical performances, food and drinks from a variety of local food carts, and Hydro Flask product giveaways throughout the evening. “We’re thrilled to celebrate this significant milestone with our community,” said General Manager Scott Allen. “ Hydro Flask has always been inspired by our hometown roots, and this celebration is our way of saying thank you to our amazing community for their consistent support over the last decade and contributions to our global success.”
The Helen of Troy Academy provides learning and development opportunities to associates across the organization. Our offices in Lausanne, Mexico City and Marlborough recently held a two-day training for associates in the Foundations of Management. In addition to in-person trainings, the Helen of Troy Academy offers online learning tools in the areas of project management, career development, and much more.
