Today is International Girls in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Day, a reminder of the importance of empowering young women to pursue careers in STEAM-related fields. We are proud to have female leaders who have broken down barriers and paved the way for the next generation of female leaders in ICT. We spoke with our own Jessica Eldridge, Senior Vice President and Practice Director of Cyber within J.S. Held’s Forensic Accounting – Insurance Services Practice, about her experience in the tech industry and her thoughts on how we can inspire and encourage more young women to pursue careers in ICT: “Young women today have the power to exude greatness in all aspects of the workforce, but especially in STEAM. I pursued my passion for math and technology and here I am as a Forensic Accountant and Practice Director of Cyber within our division. My advice to young women is to never limit their talent for fear of the unknown, and instead persevere through barriers and challenges that come your way and break through that glass ceiling!” #ICT #STEAM #Technology

National Volunteer Week is an important moment to pause and reflect on how we can all give more to our local communities through the donation of our time and talent. This year, through our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, Helping Hands, we are focusing on encouraging our colleagues, business partners, family, and friends to share the gift of their time. In 2022, we welcomed interns across many of our practice lines, spanning multiple industries and geographic regions. These young professionals worked alongside our experts to engage in exciting projects and receive firsthand experience ahead of their post-graduate careers. One of our Summer 2022 interns was Joseph McAllister, who is a senior at the University of Arizona.
