When I first started working at MGM Resorts, I noticed there was so much leftover food from events, sometimes 1,000 leftover chicken breast, 1,000 extra pieces of fish…I said we need to do something to save this extra food. It’s amazing the impact and support I received in order to be able to start the food saving program here at MGM. In the beginning people asked, ‘is it safe’ and ‘is it allowed’…but it was simple to me; it matters that we find a way to help people because I believe in human kindness, and I was brought up to care for people.”
