We were learning about the Power of Food™ , and how healthy, delicious meals are part of the healing process. We couldn’t do it alone, however. That’s why we joined forces with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) ten years ago, to help us create more healthy, delicious, plant based recipes to serve at healthcare facilities across the country.

Working with Mission Hospital, the city’s largest healthcare facility, we wanted to create a unique experience in our café that fits with the city’s food scene. So, we put together a new food concept like no other.
For the past two years, Compass One has been fast-tracking our top performers into the Accelerated Manager Program (AMP). More than 50 frontline associates are now managing their own teams, with remarkable success. While it’s a benefit for high-performing associates, the AMP’s biggest beneficiary is Compass One.
Valleywise Health operates 17 facilities, with more currently under construction. “Morrison Healthcare manages Food and Nutrition Services, while Crothall Healthcare covers Environmental Services,” explains System Director Nicholas Bott. “Together, we are Compass One.”
