    NerdsPayItForward Gives Back to Local Students

    NerdsPayItForward (NPIF), NerdWallet's employee-led social impact group, works each quarter with two NerdWallet leaders to select a cause we're passionate about. Using this theme, NPIF chooses a charity to donate to, organizes a volunteer event and hosts related guest speakers at our headquarters. For the last three months of 2018, our efforts focused on local youth.

  • NerdWallet recently received the Bay Area Healthy Mothers Workplace Award from the Healthy Mothers Workplace Coalition. The organization recognizes employers for excellence in health and gender equity based on policies such as paid family leave that promote work-family balance.

    We take pride in offering a generous parental leave policy for both new moms and dads, flexible time off, excellent health insurance benefits and more.

    NerdWallet Receives Healthy Mothers Workplace Award

    We're honored to receive a Silver Award from San Francisco's Healthy Mothers Workplace Coalition! This organization unites Bay Area groups from government, business, academia and community outreach to encourage policies and practices that support and improve the health of infants and new parents.

    "Most people don't want to learn about personal finance in detail; they just want to know they aren't screwing up," said Tim Chen, who is CEO of Nerdwallet, the comparison site for financial products from credit cards to mortgages. For a self-professed finance nerd, this lack of consumer obsession is something of a disappointment.
