  • Congratulations to the five new new Women In Film board members including Paramount Pictures' own Syrinthia Studer! Their role will be to further drive the organization's mission of "enacting change to make the entertainment industry equitable for all women, in front of and behind the camera."

    Women in Film Adds Five to 2019 Board of Directors

    The Los Angeles branch of Women in Film has elected five industry leaders to its board of directors. They are: Tracy McGrath, a senior physical production executive for Amazon's Original Movies division. She previously oversaw productions at New Regency, Miramax/Dimension and Buena Vista Pictures, and was the first senior vp physical production at CBS Films. Vanessa Morrison, president of Fox Family.

  • In an ongoing commitment to diversity and equality both on and off screen, Paramount Pictures announced its acceptance of the 4% Challenge. This campaign calls for industry leaders to commit to hiring female directors on feature films in the next 18 months, and we're proud to be a part of this movement.

    The 4% Challenge

    Nina Jacobson, Paul Feig, Amy Schumer, Angela Robinson and Franklin Leonard kicked off this challenge at a panel at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. In a keynote address later that night, actress Tessa Thompson formally launched the TIME'S UP and the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative #4PercentChallenge, committing to announce a project with one female director in the next 18 months.
