Taking care of the environment shows up in many ways across our business. Earth Month was a strong reminder of what that looks like in action. Across the country, Perdue associates made an impact by planting trees, restoring landscapes, and helping remove more than 2,500 pounds of trash from local watersheds and communities. Thank you to our associates and partners, including the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, who embraced the spirit of Earth Month and helped turn intention into action. Your efforts are helping us raise a better, more sustainable future – together. 🌍💚🌱
Most days, Perdue Transportation Inc. truck drivers travel great distances to deliver products to customers. But, on a recent Saturday, 15 Perdue drivers delivered smiles to Special Olympics Delaware athletes and their families during the 23rd edition of the Truck Convoy, a unique police-escorted caravan of tractor trailers and other trucks on a scenic 29-mile route in central Delaware. The truck convoy is a spirited celebration of the trucking industry and its support of Special Olympics. We recognize the importance of supporting our communities through partnerships like this that showcase the heart and soul of our drivers. It reflects how we are Delivering Hope to Our Neighbors® to improve quality of life and build strong communities.
Recognizing Service, Sacrifice, and Dedication. This Veterans Day we paused to honor the courageous and resilient men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. At our headquarters in Salisbury, Maryland, we pay tribute to our veterans every year with a powerful ceremony organized by our Veterans Associate Resource Group. It's an enduring tradition and a meaningful reminder that our freedom is owed to the bravery and commitment of those who serve. This Veterans Day, and every day, we are deeply grateful to all veterans who are part of our Perdue family, and for veterans everywhere. Thank you for your service.
