Portland General Electric * FULL CLEAN AHEAD

By working together to make changes both big and small, our brighter future is possible.

  • Today we’re proud to announce the launch of our Smart Grid Test Bed, a first-of-its-kind-project that will integrate smart grid technology on a scale never before attempted in the United States. The project aims to accelerate our vision for a clean energy future through partnering with customers in entirely new ways to decarbonize the grid. Smart Grid Test Bed

The way we use energy is changing, and individuals and businesses want a larger role in controlling their energy costs, reducing their carbon footprint and contributing to a clean energy future. By working to develop flexible smart grid infrastructure, PGE will meet those demands while continuing to keep energy efficient and reliable.

  • Good news today and a true win-win for customers! Our recently offered Green Future Impact program sold out in just over three minutes – we were blown away by your interest. Thank you. Created with larger customers in mind, this exciting offer allows entities of a certain size to add green power from a specific resource, benefiting your business and the community by helping us add more renewable energy to our system. • Three ways we’re moving forward #FullCleanAhead towards a #CleanEnergyFuture:

    1. We recently launched with TriMet the nation’s first electric bus route powered 100% by wind.
    2. Together with NextEra Energy Resources, we are developing the nation’s first major renewable energy facility that will integrate wind and solar generation with battery storage in one location. This marks an important step in cost-effectively accelerating Oregon’s transition to clean and reliable energy.
    3. The Milwaukie Electric Avenue is open for your charging needs, and we will open five more electric avenues this year.

  • We love our community! Portland General Electric has spent the last six weeks diving into the PNW with the goal of making our beautiful community better and stronger. Here are some highlights:

Retirees, employees and family/friends contributed 3,880 hours
