This is the highest level of recognition given by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Administration, which recognizes workplaces that raise awareness and registers tissue and organ donors within hospital facilities. Meet Nicki Haydal, MSW and Lori Kennell, MS both social workers at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, CO. They provide compassionate and patient-centered care across the entire facility. From Residential Living, Trauma, Oncology and Acute Care to the Clinic and everything in between, any patient or family in need of their kind and caring support, Nicki and Lori are there to help. Lorraine works in the surgical unit of the hospital, and has been at St. Mary’s for 20 years. Both her mother and mother-in-law were nurses, which were perfect footsteps for her to follow in. Lorraine is passionate about making people smile and laugh, whether it’s her coworkers, patients or their families.
