“Devin has an extraordinary ability to simplify math for any student that he works with. By creating a calm environment for students to learn, he helps students develop confidence in areas that were otherwise intimidating. Devin has been with Seneca for over 12 years we are grateful for his commitment and dedicated effort to teach the possibilities of mathematics.” Happy World Teachers’ Day, Devin!
“Brian is a great example of how one can find passion through unexpected circumstances. Substitute teaching our history class was where Brian began his journey as an educator. Each day his enthusiasm unfolded and he found joy in teaching which resulted in him taking the position full-time. Brian challenges our students to think not only about history but also its impact on the present time. Brian creates a safe space for students to share their point of view, all while helping them remember interesting facts that assist the students in gaining insight to the world we live in. Brian has been with Seneca for seven years and we are appreciative of his commitment and dedication to teaching the possibilities.” Happy World Teachers’ Day, Brian!
Meet Vicki Mendoza! Vicki is using her Seneca scholarship to help pay for her MSW program. "This scholarship will help me receive an education to better assist the families we work with, and will also allow me to graduate with a little less debt. Since I am part of a Master of Social Work program, everything I learn will greatly benefit my work at the agency. My goal is to learn more about the diversity of humans and to remember to keep an open mind, heart, and soul." Congrats Vicki! We know you'll do great things with your education.
