Company Updates

  • SkillPath had the privilege of sponsoring this year's #mentoringmonday hosted by the Kansas City Business Journal. Nearly 400 women gathered at the Overland Park Convention Center to network and participate in one-on-one mentoring sessions with more than 80 of Kansas City's elite businesswomen. We were honored to have our very own VP of Training Operations, Michele Markey, lead a session on overcoming the imposter syndrome, while another six of our employees participated as mentees.

  • More than 100 trainers from across the country (and Canada) gathered in Kansas City January 7-9 for the 2019 Trainer Conference. The theme of the conference, Innovating Together, perfectly symbolized the content and energy of the event, which left employees and trainers alike excited for the future.

  • Who says accountants aren't creative?! Loving the Halloween costumes from last week!

  • Our communications and sales team know how to have fun (while working) at the Association of Talent Development Kansas City Fall Conference.

  • Employees enjoyed a drink - and their colleagues - at our recent open house, showcasing our new sales team work space.

  • Our summer interns have been amazing - working hard and giving back to the community! They recently joined our HR team to volunteer at Harvesters, a community food bank in Kansas City.

  • A new article on features guidance from SkillPath! In the article, "10 Things to Never Say in an Email," our CEO Cam Bishop advises: “Never discuss a co-worker’s performance, unless you are their boss and are discussing it with HR or your boss. Not only is it rude, but it’s not your place to discuss someone else’s performance over email.” An estimated 14 million people visit each month. Check out the article:

  • Congratulations to our parent company, Graceland University, for winning the 2018 National Title in the NAIA Men's Basketball Tournament! We were so excited to cheer on the Graceland Yellow Jackets in the tournament here in Kansas City. As a nonprofit, SkillPath is proud to help fund scholarships for students at Graceland! Our #partnersinlearning are now NAIA champs!

  • Yoga over lunch - yes! #ourskillpath

  • This morning we had the pleasure of participating in the Kansas City Business Journal's Bizwomen Mentoring Monday event - along with another 350+ women in Kansas City! To say we are inspired is an understatement! Loved having our team members serve as mentors and mentees in this program! #MentoringMonday
