Farewell to two of our respected Terex Coalville team members—Ian Boast and Paul Bingham—both of whom retired after clocking up more than 25 years with Terex. Ian Boast, Chief Engineer, Crushers at Coalville started in October 1993 with BL – Pegson and since then, has become an integral part of Pegson/Powerscreen’s success, responsible for such products as the Maxtrack and Premiertrack ranges. Paul Bingham, Machinist, retired after completing 25 years employment with Terex. Paul started in May 1996, and during his tenure has been very active in the business, being very skilled in machining and an expert in operating much of the equipment at Terex Coalville. In addition to his more ‘normal’ work duties, Paul was also a Union Convenor and First Aid representative, always helping and supporting others. Congratulations to Ian and Paul on such an incredible service to Terex!

Congratulations to Team Member Hugh Brennan, Technical Support Manager at Terex Dungannon who took up the challenge of a ‘Virtual Race Round Ireland’, cycling 2,080kms in only 23 days to help raise £13,500 for four Northern Irish charities— Prostate Cancer Research at Queen's University Belfast, Life & Time, Southern Area Hospice and Killowen Fundraising Group. What made Hugh’s challenge even tougher was completing it during a month of unusually high (and relentless) temperatures in Northern Ireland! We love seeing photos of our equipment in action! Check out the Terex Cranes Rough Terrain (RT35-1) that has recently been delivered to serve the Polish Antarctic Station Henryk Arctowski. The crane was purchased by the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences to permanently support year-round scientific research, which will focus on biology and ecology, among other areas. Mrs. Hanna Stanoch, Marketing Manager for Polish distributor EWPA, who sold the crane said, “Being in such a remote location, having a solution that can get the job done but is robust and reliable enough to withstand the harsh climatic and geographical conditions of the Antarctica were key requirements for the job. We had no hesitation in recommending the RT 35-1 – in our experience we know it can travel and manoeuvre over the harshest terrain with ease, its high-strength steel can endure extreme cold temperatures, while its rugged axles and machine superstructures handle snow.”

It's not every day that a crane is shipped to a far-flung destination in the Antarctica, but that is exactly what EWPA Sp. z o. o, Terex Cranes' official distributor in Poland did to deliver a Terex Rough Terrain (RT35-1) to serve the Polish Antarctic Station Henryk Arctowski.
