Meet the new faces of Very! 🦩 We invited our teammates to step in front of the camera for a special photo shoot, right here in the amazing Hello Studio at Very HQ. And wow, did they show up and sparkle. ✨ The goal? To help us showcase the incredible people and culture that make Very such a brilliant place to work. We’ll be seeing lots more of these lovely faces across our careers site, social channels and internal comms over the next few months. Huge thanks to everyone who took part and to the awesome Hello Studio team for capturing the magic. We’re absolutely loving the results and can’t wait to keep showing them off! #LifeAtVery
Huge congratulations to Mujtaba Ghauri and Rainer Noble on graduating from the WiHTL & Diversity in Retail Ethnic Future Leaders Programme! 🎓 They are the fourth and fifth Very teammates to complete the six-month programme, aimed at supporting high-potential individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds to progress into senior roles and enhance ethnic diversity in leadership. Reflecting on the programme, Mujtaba shared: “The experience showed me the power of sharing my unique journey as an ethnic leader, building my personal brand, developing strong networks and other key tools for success. Listening to inspiring speakers boosted my confidence as a leader and in life. I’m excited to apply these insights to benefit my team, the business and my own growth, and to one day inspire others.” Rainer added: ”I loved my experience on the course and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Supporting open and honest conversations about mental health is a crucial part of our commitment to making Very a place where everyone feels welcomed, represented and valued. 🧠 Recently, teammates at our Wrexham fulfilment site hosted a great interactive workshop on this topic with some of our managers, mental health first aiders and members of our colleague-led mental health network, Mind. Facilitated by Sean Liddell, an external trainer with a passion for mental health, the session provided practical tools and strategies to help us all have meaningful discussions and support our teammates' well-being. A big thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the day a success! Let’s keep the conversation going. 💬 #LifeAtTheVeryGroup

Thank you to our RAVE (Race at Very) colleague-led network and members of our Skygate fulfilment team for organising a brilliant event to celebrate Race Equality Week (5 to 9 February 2024) at our Liverpool HQ. And a huge shout out to our performers, who shared their cultures through amazing music and dance. At Very, we're challenging our colleagues to become more educated about different cultures and ethnicities. We want everyone to listen, act and change. Our RAVE network, which recently celebrated its second birthday, is playing an important role in making that happen. They have created a programme of opportunities, including a chance to ask questions through 'curious coffees', colleague learning around unconscious bias, and encouraging our people to sign our inclusion pledge. #LifeAtTheVeryGroup #ListenActChange #RaceEqualityWeek
