Announced earlier this week, Neil Thomas is named new President and CEO of Trojan Battery Company, succeeding the retirement of Jeff Elder. Trojan Battery Company is excited to welcome Neil on-board, where he will use his strategic planning and execution experience to launch Trojan Battery to the next level of energy storage and research.
Trojan Battery Company is always looking for groups and organizations that move us and get us energized to be working with the community. Partnering with Giving Children Hope was a great way to give-back during the holiday season. That is why Trojan Battery Company employees from the Clark Street facility volunteered with Giving Children Hope to help wrap gifts for needy children. Not only was the team part of the gift wrapping operation, but many team members graciously donated gifts from children's "wish lists" in support of the Giving Children Hope organization. We love sharing these events with our teams and look forward to more opportunities to do this in the new year!
Last week Jeff Elder, our CEO held an “All Hands” meetings across the company which highlighted our Trojan Battery Company Patent Incentive Program. Launched in August 2017 by Michael Everette, Trojan’s Senior Vice President of Engineering, the Program aims to reward employees for ideas to improve our business, our processes, or our products. Since the launch of the Patent Incentive Program, there have been 38 submissions and 6 patents submitted. We look forward to seeing more employees engage with this program over the next year and help elevate Trojan to the next level of energy storage. We want everyone who works here to feel energized and excited by what they are doing and that their contribution is changing our business. #getchargedwithTrojanBattery
Trojan Battery Company supports the Blue Heart Campaign, proudly posting it on our company website and LinkedIn, but what does it mean? The United Nations’ Blue Heart Campaign aims to make the Blue Heart an international symbol against human trafficking. Being a participant in the Blue Heart Campaign means that Trojan Battery Company strives to prohibit any form of forced labor including slavery and human trafficking in its supply chain and factories. We stand by the Blue Heart Campaign as part of our core values. Trojan Battery is guided by a high level of business ethics and integrity. This not only includes Trojan employees, but our vendors, suppliers, customers and partners. We want to build a community where people are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. This is not just a core value and ideal, but a way we work, which is why the Blue Heart Campaign is so important to our business. We will continue to promote the Blue Heart Campaign to raise awareness of forced labor including human trafficking and slavery, and its devastating effects.

We want to congratulate our latest class to complete and graduate from Trojan University! Trojan University gathers managers from multiple business channels to meet, work on philanthropic projects, strategize business plans and develop partnerships. Over the course of 4 quarters, this group traveled to different locations learning how the teams in each location work. They created campaigns for gathering new toys for donation to CHOC Hospital in California, and a new and gently used item drive supporting Good+ Foundation. We are so proud of the work these individuals and teams have done, and the hard work they put into the program and their projects. We look forward to seeing the positive impact each of you bring to your immediate teams and the organization as you continue to grow here. Congratulations again to Amit Sedha, Richard Sanders, Chi Woodruff, Jennifer Gomez, Sital Patel, Marlo Ramirez, and Miguel Castro Pictured Below from L-R (Amit Sedha, Richard Sanders, Chi Woodruff, Jeff Elder, Jennifer Gomez, Sital Patel, Marlo Ramirez, Miguel Castro) #getchargedwithTrojanBattery
