Leadership UCO (LUCO) is an annual UCO program where the selected participants work to develop their professional and personal leadership qualities, networking and interpersonal skills. 2015-16 will be the 13th year of LUCO, which has continuously evolved to remain relevant and progressive. This year’s program will feature LeadWell©, led by Dr. Shanna Teel as well as the Myer’s Briggs Type Indicator©. The University of Central Oklahoma has been named to the Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Colleges 2015” rankings, the publication has announced. Central is ranked 40th among all surveyed 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S., and is the highest ranked school of any kind in Oklahoma. UCO’s fraternity and sorority members recently raised a record-breaking $12,137 and collected more than 700 new toys for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Oklahoma City annual Spring Sing event. The annual event is a campus favorite that brings Central’s Greek life together to produce a musical production, along with other service initiatives leading up to the event. The UCO Endeavor Games is a nationally recognized competition that allows all athletes with physical disabilities to participate in a multi-sport event. The Endeavor Games is a weekend full of events, starting on Thursday morning with a variety of clinics and ending Sunday morning with paratriathlon and archery.
