    Community Advisory Board The program is fortunate to have a Community Advisory Board (CAB) composed of local community members from all walks of life who form an important link between the researchers, the volunteers and the community at large.

The Vanderbilt Eskind Diabetes Center is one of only three diabetes centers in the U.S. accredited by the American Diabetes Association for treating adult, children's and gestational diabetes. In honor of Disability Employment Awareness Month, VUMC Human Resources hosted a panel discussion with community experts Ned Andrew Solomon of the TN Council on Developmental Disabilities, Carrie Hobbs Guiden of The Arc Tennessee, Jeremy Norden Paul of the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities TN and Lisa Primm of Disability Rights TN. The panel shared some of the barriers individuals with disabilities face when seeking employment and how VUMC can help break down those barriers.   • Congratulations to Senior Talent Consultants Brittany Poynter and Dana Krantz for being named to the 2017 Healthcare Source Elite Honor Roll for Outstanding Recruiters.
