Our Irvine office hosted their annual summer BBQ, held at Mason Park in Irvine. Lunch and dessert was catered! There were lots of games and prizes for all that participated: Sumo wrestling, bubble balls, soccer, water balloons etc - It was a fun break for our Irvine Team!
iHerb hosted our Perris, Ca. western themed summer luncheon! Our managers participated from all departments and volunteered for our dunk tank where we raised $402 for Susan G Komen! In addition, we had our annual salsa contest!
For the first time in company history, iHerb reached $1 Billion in sales in the past 12 months! This tremendous achievement is a direct result of hard work and dedication by each and every one of our iHerb employees.!
iHerb has been a great supporter to local charity and community events. The events in our California facility include Ronald McDonald House “Walk for Kids,” Golf Tournament sponsorship, Susan G. Komen, “Race for the Cure,” Boys & Girls Club Backpack event (donated to 108 children), Holiday Toy Drive, High School Student Mock Interview events, Chocolate Fantasy sponsorship, Camp Einstein sponsorship, Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowling event. The events in our Kentucky facility include Crayons to Computers Backpacks and School Supply collection, St. Vincent de Paul Adopt a Family and P4CA “Paddling for Cancer Awareness” Dragon Boat Race. We want to thank all our team members for your donations, participation, and thoughtfulness!
iHerb team members put together a Toy Drive for the Boys and Girls Cub! There were 800 children transported from many cities throughout the Inland Empire that were able to enjoy the donated products from our very own iHerb team members!
iHerb team members celebrated Halloween with a BBQ lunch event, costume contest, and the traditional pumpkin decorating contest! We love our team members creativity and all the participation in such a fun event!
The HR Recruiting team attended a career fair at Cal Baptist University, Riverside, on 10/25/17. This is one of several university events attended by the Recruiting team. They received well over 30 resumes showing interest in the various open positions at iHerb. There was a constant influx of students inquiring about iHerb and the products we sell. With a great display/giveaway table they attracted future talent and iHerb customers. Overall it was a good turnout and gave Recruiting the chance to showcase iHerb as a whole and give out goodies with the iHerb logo!
Congratulations to Perris, Pasadena and Irvine’s fundraising efforts this year. The total amount raised by team members was $8,400.76. With the company’s contribution of $7,307.00, we were able to donate a grand total of $15,707.76 to Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We beat last year’s 2016 fundraising donation of $7,291.16. Special thanks to the Perris and Irvine iHerb walking teams and team members who participated in the iHerb booth in Murrieta.
Team members showed off their talent with singing, acting, and playing musical instruments on the Perris talent stage. Contestants wowed the judges and audience with creativity and humor. It was a fun and exciting lunch event catered by The Habit Burger Grill along with drawing winners for raffle prizes.
