Boston Consulting, Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company Secure Highest Ratings

SAUSALITO, Calif. (September 2, 2011) — Pessimism about the job market continues, and a recent Harris Interactive survey showed that 31 percent of those currently employed believe it is unlikely they would be able to find a job matched to their experience and compensation levels in the next six months if they lost their job today1.

Amid growing uncertainty around their ability to find another job, Glassdoor, a jobs and career community, turns the spotlight to those companies who are helping their employees to feel optimistic about the opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. Today, Glassdoor announced the top 25 highest rated companies for career opportunities according to employees based on personal satisfaction ratings. The top five companies in this category based on feedback throughout the past 12 months, include: Boston Consulting, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Keller Williams and Nestlé Purina PetCare.

“In a time of economic uncertainty, people are hungry for more information to make better career and hiring decisions,” said Robert Hohman, founder and CEO of Glassdoor. “Glassdoor’s list of top companies for career opportunities delivers more insight to job seekers, and highlights those companies who have demonstrated to employees throughout the past year the paths to career advancement.”
