Glassdoor Promotes Amanda Runner To Senior Vice President Of Marketing And Samantha Zupan To Senior Vice President Of Corporate Communications

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (August 4, 2020) – Glassdoor, the worldwide leader in insights about jobs and companies, today announced the promotion of two executives leading its marketing and corporate communications functions. Amanda Runner was appointed senior vice president of marketing. Runner will lead the company’s global marketing team, overseeing  B2B marketing, consumer marketing, product marketing and marketing operations. Glassdoor also named Samantha Zupan as senior vice president of corporate communications. Zupan is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s corporate communications strategy, overseeing a global team that includes public relations, executive and internal communications, economic research, government affairs as well as community relations.

Runner has served in a variety of leadership roles in marketing and business operations at Glassdoor, most recently as vice president of marketing. Runner brings 15 years of experience in business operations, business development, strategy and marketing to the position. Before joining Glassdoor in 2017, she managed consulting teams at Bain & Company and earlier in her career, held roles at Zagat and Goldman Sachs. Runner holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University. 

Zupan brings a breadth of experience in corporate communications and stakeholder relations to her expanded role, having most recently served as vice president of corporate communications at Glassdoor. Zupan helped launch Glassdoor out of stealth in 2008 and joined the company as one of its earliest employees. Before joining Glassdoor as a consultant and then as its first in-house communications lead in 2010, Zupan held roles at global communication and public affairs agencies specializing in technology, healthcare, travel & hospitality, retail, real estate and more. Zupan holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
