Robert Hohman is co-founder and chief executive officer of Glassdoor, the jobs and recruiting marketplace helping people find a job and company they love. Before creating Glassdoor, Robert was most recently president of Hotwire, a leading discount travel site and division of Expedia, Inc. He was also one of the original team members of Expedia, a company designed to bring greater transparency to the travel industry, and was part of the executive team that took it public in 1999. Robert started his career at Microsoft and worked as a software developer in a range of areas from Windows 95 to interactive television to online games. Robert is also a Glassdoor Director and previously served on the board of OpenTable, prior to its acquisition by Priceline, Inc. He serves on the U.S. Economic Development Administration's National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE). He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University.
Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor
Tim Besse is co-founder and strategic advisor for Glassdoor as the business continues to grow globally. Prior to this role, Tim served as Glassdoor’s CXO (chief anything officer) and before that senior vice president, general manager and chief marketing officer of Glassdoor’s consumer team. Previously, he was the director of product management and online marketing of the Asia Pacific division of Expedia. In this role, Tim developed new markets in Australia, Japan, and China, and assumed general management responsibility of the Hotels.com business in Asia. In other Expedia roles, Tim helped launch other early stage businesses, including Expedia's telesales and private label businesses as well as its online luxury offering, Classic Custom Vacations. Tim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Senior Vice President of Global Sales
Kate Ahlering is senior vice president of global sales for Glassdoor. She leads all aspects of sales, including new client acquisition and account management as well as providing the sales organization with the tools and knowledge to effectively service Glassdoor's thousands of customers. She has more than 10 years' experience leading and building high performing sales teams in high-growth environments. Kate was formerly director of sales at ACTIVE Network where she helped grow the company to more than $500 million in revenue and toward a successful IPO. Kate's leadership extends back to college, where she was captain of the University of Virginia's NCAA women's basketball team. She holds a B.A. in political science and a master of education in leadership, social foundations, and policy from the University of Virginia.
Senior Vice President of Engineering & Chief Technology Officer
Ryan Aylward is the senior vice president of engineering and chief technology officer of Glassdoor, who brings more than 15 years' experience in the software development field. Previously, Ryan was the senior director of engineering at EzRez Software where he led the development organization responsible for supporting more than 50 travel websites. Prior to EzRez, Ryan spent more than five years with Hotwire, where his duties involved both management and development roles, including building the original website. Ryan also served as an engineer at Motorola. Ryan holds a B.A. in computer science from the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Andrew Chamberlain
Dr. Andrew Chamberlain is chief economist at Glassdoor. He is an applied labor economist who has written widely on labor markets, public policy, taxation and energy policy. Andrew previously taught economics at the University of California at San Diego, was chief economist and founder of Columbia Economics, LLC. He has served as an economist in Washington, D.C. at the Tax Foundation and the Cato Institute, as a municipal government economist at the City of Seattle. Andrew received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego and holds Bachelors of Arts in economics and business administration from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Chief Financial Officer
Jim Cox is chief financial officer at Glassdoor. Jim brings more than 20 years of experience leading strategic finance and business operations at both private and publicly traded companies. Prior to Glassdoor, he served as CFO of Lithium Technologies. In this role, Jim developed Lithium’s multi-year financial strategy, led merger related integration efforts and restructured the company’s reporting and resource allocation process. Prior to Lithium, Jim was the CFO at Advent Software, a publicly traded software company, where he helped double the company’s revenue and triple its operating income. He also led the company through its acquisition by SS&C Technologies. While at Advent, the San Francisco Business Times recognized Jim as the 2015 CFO of the Year for Small- and Mid-sized Public Companies. Earlier in his career, he worked at UTStarcom and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Ohio University.
Interim Chief Human Resources Officer
Lee-Anne Farley is interim chief human resources officer of Glassdoor, responsible for directing all the people functions of the company, including strategic human resources planning, learning & development, talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, employee engagement and culture management, compliance issues and more. Prior to Glassdoor, Lee-Anne was the director of global HR operations for the Americas at LinkedIn, where she built a global HR support model, oversaw an international team of HR specialists and developed scaleable HR policy, process and compliance practices. She has extensive experience in people management as an HR leader at SunPower Corporation and as a consultant for TriNet, among other roles. Lee-Anne has a post-graduate degree in personnel management from the Belfast Institute of Higher Education and a bachelor's degree in english language and literature from Queen's University Belfast.
Chief Marketing Officer
Moody (Mutahar) Glasgow is Glassdoor's chief marketing officer, and brings more than 10 years of international digital marketing experience. Most recently, he served as vice president of global acquisition marketing for Electronic Arts, the global interactive entertainment and gaming company. Prior to Electronic Arts, Moody served as senior vice president of online marketing and publishing for Mevio (now BiteSizeTV), leading content development, marketing and production, along with opening the company's London office. Earlier in his career, Moody spent several years in branding and creative working with clients such as MTV, Coca-Cola and Dell, and prior, he was CEO and president of Rampt.com, an early search engine, which he led from inception into growth stage. He holds a B.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
Vice President of Business Operations
Adrian Kaplan is vice president of business operations and decision science for Glassdoor, where he oversees teams that partner with executives across the business to drive strategic initiatives, streamline operations and manage performance through data-driven decision making. Adrian previously served as vice president of business operations at Pocket Gems, a mobile games company, where he was responsible for the operations, marketing, analytics and finance functions. Earlier in his career, Adrian worked at Cisco Systems, Francisco Partners and L.E.K. Consulting. Adrian holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar (given to the top ten percent of graduates). He also earned a Bachelor’s of Science in electrical engineering from Brown University, graduating magna cum laude.
Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA
John Lamphiere is Vice President and Managing Director of Glassdoor EMEA, overseeing the strategy, vision, and management of Glassdoor's international business. John brings 30 years’ experience in business leadership and sales having worked for some of the world’s largest technology companies. He most recently worked at Quantcast, where he was Managing Director of Quantcast International HQ in Dublin and Director of the Global SMB business. In this role, he was responsible for growth, forecasting, planning, implementation and execution, as well as reporting and compliance across all sales, operations, finance and support teams internationally. Prior to joining Quantcast, John was a Regional Director for UK and Ireland at Facebook, as well as the Global Director of dating partnerships and sales. Before joining Facebook, he was at Yahoo for two years as Head of Sales, leading Yahoo’s sales and account management teams with responsibility for display media sales across EMEA. John studied marketing and graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
Vice President of Sales Operations
Lana Lee is vice president of sales operations for Glassdoor, leading strategic planning, enablement and systems for sales operations. She has over 20 years of experience across product marketing, sales operations and marketing operations, and has expertise in the end-to-end funnel from marketing lead acquisition and bookings. Prior to joining Glassdoor, Lana held multiple leadership roles at Google, including director of sales operations, director of people operations and, most recently, director of marketing strategy and operations, where she was responsible for marketing strategy and insights, end-to-end funnel metrics and systems and partner marketing. Prior to Google, she held product, marketing and sales operations positions at OpenWave and Hewlett-Packard and started her career as an engineer and product manager at Pacific Gas & Electric. She earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and industrial engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Chief Information Officer
Anthony Moisant is Glassdoor’s senior vice president of information technology and chief information officer. With nearly 20 years of experience, Anthony is responsible for leading Glassdoor’s global IT organization. Previously, Anthony was vice president of information technology of Gracenote (acquired by Tribune Media) where he led a team supporting thousands of employees worldwide to execute large-scale software implementations and manage big data analytics supporting billions of daily transactions. Anthony has also led Versata’s IT organization in addition to leading teams across other public and private companies. He has completed the CIO Executive Program from Boston University and graduated from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine School.
Senior Vice President of Product & UX/Design
Annie Pearl is Glassdoor's senior vice president of product & UX/design, responsible for the company’s product vision and user experience for job seekers and employers around the world. Before Glassdoor, Annie led enterprise product teams at Box, including before and after its 2015 IPO. She was also the vice president of product and one of the founding members of Xpert Financial, which helped investors trade private company securities. Annie has also consulted and advised several rapid growth start-ups. She holds a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Claremont McKenna College. She is a member of The State Bar of California.
Vice President of Product
Vikas Sabnani is vice president of product, overseeing product management and strategy of Glassdoor's Jobs product. Before Glassdoor, he served as senior director of analytics at Expedia, where he built a revenue optimization department focused on optimizing brand, monetization and supply strategies. Prior to Expedia, Vikas was director of pricing, analytics and product at Hotwire, Inc. Earlier in his career, he led management science teams for forecasting and revenue management initiatives at Manugistics (now owned by JDA Software Group). Vikas holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Gujarat University in India.
Brad Serwin is Glassdoor’s general counsel responsible for overseeing all legal matters globally. Previously, Brad served as senior vice president/deputy general counsel of eBay Inc., where he was responsible for all legal affairs for eBay.com and its affiliated sites as well as all litigation and non-patent IP matters. Brad has served as general counsel at several hyper-growth companies spanning the technology, hospitality and gaming industries, including Playdom, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Company, Dean & Deluca, Las Vegas Sands Corp., and Ticketmaster. Brad received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Chief Operating Officer
Christian Sutherland-Wong is chief operating officer of Glassdoor, responsible for driving revenue and overseeing Glassdoor's business strategy and operations. Prior to Glassdoor, Christian served as LinkedIn’s director of product managing its premium subscription business, payment platform and API program. He also has experience in the business consulting and banking fields. Christian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received the Baker Scholar award – an award given to just five percent of graduates. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. Christian is also a board member of Toolworks, an organization that helps people with barriers to employment successfully enter the job market.
Vice President of Global Corporate Communications
Samantha Zupan is vice president of global corporate communications at Glassdoor, overseeing the company’s public relations, corporate communications, economics bureau, events, editorial, content and social media teams. Samantha brings more than 15 years of experience in communications and business, and helped launch Glassdoor in 2008. Before joining Glassdoor as a consultant and then as its first in-house communications lead in 2010, she held roles at global communication and public relations agencies for companies in technology, healthcare, venture capital and more, such as Chevron, Pulte Homes, Netflix, Yahoo, Terrapass, Meraki Networks and Hotwire. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
