Robert Hohman is co-founder and chief executive officer of Glassdoor, the jobs and recruiting marketplace helping people find a job and company they love. Before creating Glassdoor, Robert was most recently president of Hotwire, a leading discount travel site and division of Expedia, Inc. He was also one of the original team members of Expedia, a company designed to bring greater transparency to the travel industry, and was part of the executive team that took it public in 1999. Robert started his career at Microsoft and worked as a software developer in a range of areas from Windows 95 to interactive television to online games. Robert is also a Glassdoor Director and previously served on the board of OpenTable, prior to its acquisition by Priceline, Inc. He serves on the U.S. Economic Development Administration's National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE). He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Stanford University.
Co-Founder and Strategic Advisor
Tim Besse is co-founder and strategic advisor for Glassdoor as the business continues to grow globally. Prior to this role, Tim served as Glassdoor’s CXO (chief anything officer) and before that senior vice president, general manager and chief marketing officer of Glassdoor’s consumer team. Previously, he was the director of product management and online marketing of the Asia Pacific division of Expedia. In this role, Tim developed new markets in Australia, Japan, and China, and assumed general management responsibility of the Hotels.com business in Asia. In other Expedia roles, Tim helped launch other early stage businesses, including Expedia's telesales and private label businesses as well as its online luxury offering, Classic Custom Vacations. Tim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Vice President of Sales
Kate Ahlering is vice president of sales for Glassdoor. She leads all aspects of sales, including new client acquisition and account management as well as providing the sales organization with the tools and knowledge to effectively service Glassdoor's thousands of customers. She has more than 10 years' experience leading and building high performing sales teams in high-growth environments. Kate was formerly director of sales at ACTIVE Network where she helped grow the company to more than $500 million in revenue and toward a successful IPO. Kate's leadership extends back to college, where she was captain of the University of Virginia's NCAA women's basketball team. She holds a B.A. in political science and a master of education in leadership, social foundations, and policy from the University of Virginia.
Senior Vice President of Engineering & Chief Technology Officer
Ryan Aylward is the senior vice president of engineering and chief technology officer of Glassdoor, who brings more than 15 years' experience in the software development field. Previously, Ryan was the senior director of engineering at EzRez Software where he led the development organization responsible for supporting more than 50 travel websites. Prior to EzRez, Ryan spent more than five years with Hotwire, where his duties involved both management and development roles, including building the original website. Ryan also served as an engineer at Motorola. Ryan holds a B.A. in computer science from the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Andrew Chamberlain
Dr. Andrew Chamberlain is chief economist at Glassdoor. He is an applied labor economist who has written widely on labor markets, public policy, taxation and energy policy. Andrew previously taught economics at the University of California at San Diego, was chief economist and founder of Columbia Economics, LLC. He has served as an economist in Washington, D.C. at the Tax Foundation and the Cato Institute, as a municipal government economist at the City of Seattle. Andrew received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, San Diego and holds Bachelors of Arts in economics and business administration from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Chief Product Officer
Heather Friedland is Glassdoor’s chief product officer, responsible for the product vision and strategy of its global marketplace, leading the company’s product, mobile, design, user experience and content teams. She brings nearly two decades of experience in product management at some of the largest technology companies in the industry. Prior to Glassdoor, Heather spent nearly six years at eBay where she most recently served as vice president of local and seller product experience, managing products and services that enabled individuals and businesses to sell and connect with buyers. Prior to that, she was responsible for the overall product vision and strategy for eBay’s buyer experience. Before eBay, she spent 11 years at Microsoft, holding a wide variety of product and leadership roles and working on global MSN communication tools such as MSN Hotmail and Calendar, Windows Desktop Search, Windows Live Q&A and Bing search functionality. Heather joined Microsoft in 1999 through the acquisition of startup Jump! Networks. Named one of Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence for 2015, Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in business and e-commerce from Cornell University.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Carmel Galvin is chief human resources officer of Glassdoor, responsible for directing all the people functions of the company, including strategic human resources planning, learning & development, talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, employee engagement and culture management, compliance issues, and more. She brings nearly 25 years of extensive international experience in HR from information services, tech and finance industries. Her background includes a particular focus on executive/leadership coaching and developing organizational culture and employee engagement programs. Most recently, Carmel served as senior vice president and CHRO at Advent Software, where she oversaw the company’s global people strategies and programs. Prior to Advent, she served as vice president of talent & culture development for Deloitte’s new-venture accelerator, advising a growing portfolio of innovative companies on how to scale and adjust their culture and talent programs. Carmel holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and business from Trinity College Dublin, and completed a Master’s Degree in Business Studies at the University College Dublin’s Smurfit School of Business.
Chief Marketing Officer
Moody (Mutahar) Glasgow is Glassdoor's chief marketing officer, and brings more than 10 years of international digital marketing experience. Most recently, he served as vice president of global acquisition marketing for Electronic Arts, the global interactive entertainment and gaming company. Prior to Electronic Arts, Moody served as senior vice president of online marketing and publishing for Mevio (now BiteSizeTV), leading content development, marketing and production, along with opening the company's London office. Earlier in his career, Moody spent several years in branding and creative working with clients such as MTV, Coca-Cola and Dell, and prior, he was CEO and president of Rampt.com, an early search engine, which he led from inception into growth stage. He holds a B.A. in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
Vice President of Client Success
Anjanette Hill-Mendoza is Glassdoor’s vice president of client success and is responsible for enabling Glassdoor’s thousands of clients to attract and hire the best talent, leading the company’s global client success and implementation teams. She brings nearly two decades of experience in customer success management, service and support, implementation, consulting and professional services, education, adoption and sales assistance. Prior to Glassdoor, Anjanette served as Advent Software’s vice president of customer success where she led a global team of customer success managers in the support of Advent’s more than 4,000 financial services customers. Prior to Advent, she held a multitude of client success leadership roles at organizations such as Hightail, Extole, Mindjet and Cisco WebEx, working primarily with SaaS technology to build and scale customer success teams during periods of rapid growth. Anjanette holds a J.D. specializing in corporate law from the University of the Pacific and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Vice President of Corporate Affairs
Dawn Lyon is vice president of corporate affairs of Glassdoor, overseeing corporate communications, employer branding, government affairs, public policy, economics bureau, content marketing, investor relations and corporate social responsibility. Dawn has more than two decades of experience leading global corporate communications and public affairs organizations as well as consulting growing technology companies. Dawn helped launch Glassdoor in 2008 and remained a senior consultant until she joined the company full-time in 2015. She is also founder and senior advisor of LyonSHARE Communications Group, a strategic communications consultancy she founded in 2004. She has extensive experience building and running communications departments and programs for major brands including Zillow, eBay, Expedia, Hotwire, Chevron, Cendant (now Travelport), CheapTickets, Yahoo! and more. Dawn holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in political science from San Diego State University and an executive certificate from the Center for Public Policy and Management from the University of Washington. She is also a board member of T4A.org, a non-profit that facilitates dialogue between public officials and the technology community to identify and develop results-focused initiatives to serve the community.
Chief Revenue Officer
Brad is chief revenue officer (CRO) for Glassdoor, responsible for scaling the sales and service organization to maximize revenue and profitability. Brad brings more than 20 years of sales and operations experience to Glassdoor, having served most recently as SVP of worldwide sales and business development for Dynatrace, an application performance management software company. He also spent seven years with Concur Technologies (CNQR), a top SaaS provider known for its employee spend management software that was acquired by SAP in December 2014. Brad’s last position was general manager of the Americas, responsible for distribution, field marketing, customer success and business development. Brad received his Bachelor of Science in business administration/management from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Vice President of Information Technology
Anthony Moisant is Glassdoor’s vice president of information technology. With nearly 20 years of experience, Anthony is responsible for leading Glassdoor’s global IT organization. Previously, Anthony was vice president of information technology of Gracenote (acquired by Tribune Media) where he led a team supporting thousands of employees worldwide to execute large-scale software implementations and manage big data analytics supporting billions of daily transactions. Anthony has also led Versata’s IT organization in addition to leading teams across other public and private companies. He has completed the CIO Executive Program from Boston University and graduated from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine School.
Vice President of International
Diarmuid Russell is vice president of international for Glassdoor and is responsible for international business and growth strategy. Diarmuid is an experienced digital media executive with more than 10 years of experience working with consumer internet businesses in Europe, Australia and the U.S. Most recently, he was responsible for the consumer division of GlobalEnglish, a leading English-language SaaS business. He has also held commercial and strategy roles at Expedia, BBC Worldwide and Lonely Planet. Diarmuid holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Arts in economics from the University of St. Andrews.
Vice President of Data Science & Analytics
Vikas Sabnani is vice president of data science and analytics for Glassdoor, responsible for leading its data science, product analytics and business intelligence functions. Before Glassdoor, he served as senior director of analytics at Expedia, where he built a revenue optimization department focused on optimizing brand, monetization and supply strategies. Prior to Expedia, Vikas was director of pricing, analytics and product at Hotwire, Inc. Earlier in his career, he led management science teams for forecasting and revenue management initiatives at Manugistics (now owned by JDA Software Group). Vikas holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Gujarat University in India.
Brad Serwin is Glassdoor’s general counsel responsible for overseeing all legal matters globally. Previously, Brad served as senior vice president/deputy general counsel of eBay Inc., where he was responsible for all legal affairs for eBay.com and its affiliated sites as well as all litigation and non-patent IP matters. Brad has served as general counsel at several hyper-growth companies spanning the technology, hospitality and gaming industries, including Playdom, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Company, Dean & Deluca, Las Vegas Sands Corp., and Ticketmaster. Brad received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Vice President of Employer Marketing
Kirsten Smith is vice president of employer marketing for Glassdoor, leading all marketing functions for Glassdoor for Employers including demand generation, customer engagement and sales development. She has 15 years of technology marketing experience for companies ranging in size from startups to Fortune 500. Prior to Glassdoor, Kirsten was vice president of marketing for Work4 where she built its marketing organization and led all of its marketing areas including brand strategy, sales enablement and content marketing. In addition, she has also held senior marketing roles at HumanConcepts (acquired by Saba Software), Ubisoft and Mattel. Kirsten received an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Chief Financial Officer
Adam Spiegel is the chief financial officer at Glassdoor and holds more than 20 years of strategic finance, consulting and operating experience. Most recently, he served as CFO of RPX Corporation, a leading provider of subscription-based corporate patent risk solutions. Adam built RPX's finance organization and led the company through a hyper-growth phase and a successful $185 million initial public offering. Prior to RPX, he served as CFO for two early stage life science companies - Vectrant Technologies and CrossCart. Earlier in his career, Adam was an investment banker and he advised technology, financial services and industrial companies in a wide range of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and public equity and debt financings. Adam holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from UCLA.
Vice President & General Manager of Online Business & Operations
Christian Sutherland-Wong is vice president and general manager of online business and operations for Glassdoor, responsible for overseeing and driving all online revenue streams along with business development and business operations. Most recently, Christian served as LinkedIn’s director of product managing its premium subscription business, payment platform and API program. He also has experience in the business consulting and banking fields. Christian holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and received the Baker Scholar award – an award given to just five percent of graduates. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. Christian is also a board member of Toolworks, an organization that helps people with barriers to employment successfully enter the job market.
