Last year, Glassdoor joined the Pledge 1% movement, committing to donate one percent of our product, equity and employees’ time to supporting underserved groups and communities. Today, we are excited to announce we are taking the next step in our commitment by donating our product to help nonprofits recruit the best talent.
In alignment with Glassdoor’s mission to help people find a job and company they love, we are helping make it easier for nonprofits to hire the people they need by offering:
- 25-50% off discounts of Glassdoor’s recruiting and employer branding packages to eligible nonprofits.
- Five free single job postings per year to eligible nonprofits via our partnership with TechSoup, an organization that connects nonprofits with tech products and services.
In addition, Glassdoor employees have five job postings per year to donate to a a nonprofit of their choosing. This comes on top of the three paid days off each year employees automatically receive to support nonprofit organizations of their choice.
When we first took the 1% pledge, we used this commitment as the cornerstone of our plans to bring philanthropy to the forefront at Glassdoor. The recruiting discounts and job posting donations are just a part of this effort and this pledge. We’ve also earmarked a portion of our equity to be converted to capital following a liquidity event to support nonprofits and community programs delivering social impact. While there is more work to be done, we strongly believe that taking these steps will lead to a sizeable impact to nonprofits and to our community at large in the future.
