Company culture is one of the top five most important factors job seekers consider before accepting a new job, according to a Glassdoor survey. To help job seekers identify employers with the highest rated company cultures, Glassdoor has revealed its inaugural list of the Top 25 Companies for Culture & Values (2014). Some shared themes among the top 25 include having a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere, a family-like environment and genuinely standing behind company values.
Based entirely on U.S. employee feedback shared over the past 12 months, Twitter takes the top spot with a 4.5 culture & values rating. PR agency, Edelman, ranks #2 with a 4.4 rating, followed by Google (4.4). Rounding out the top five are Riverbed Technology (4.3) and Facebook (4.3). As part of Glassdoor’s company review survey, employees are asked to rate the culture and values at their companies on a five-point scale: 1.0=very dissatisfied, 3.0=OK, 5.0=very satisfied.
