If you’re interested in a high paying job that does not require an advanced degree or technical skillset, you may want to consider a career in sales. To help, Glassdoor has released its newest report on the Highest Paying Cities for Sales Jobs and 10 Highest Paying Companies for Sales Jobs, identifying regions and employers offering the biggest paychecks in the fast-growing world of corporate and account sales.

The report ranks the top U.S. metros and companies based on total pay for sales jobs, and offers other details such as base salary, commission and number of open jobs.

Highest Paying Cities for Sales Jobs

We looked at 80+ cities across the U.S. to see how they stacked up in the sales industry for total pay and number of job openings. If a big paycheck is what matters most to you, you may want to consider living in San Jose, CA, where you could earn more than $125,000 per year. But, if hiring opportunity is what interests you, consider New York City, which has more than 5,000 open jobs in sales.

While there are currently 66,291 open account and corporate sales jobs in the U.S. at a variety of companies, some employees are earning more than others. Here are the companies where employees are bringing home the biggest paychecks:

Job Search Tip: If you’re considering a career in account and corporate sales, on average, you should expect your base salary to account for 67% of your total pay, and your commission to account for 32%, according to Glassdoor data. Methodology: Glassdoor’s report on the 10 Highest Paying Companies for Sales Jobs identifies companies with the highest median total compensation for corporate and account sales jobs. For a company to be considered for this report, the company must have at least 50 salary reports for account and corporate sales jobs shared by U.S. employees as of 6/26/15. This report takes into account job title normalization that groups similar job titles. This report excludes retail sales jobs.
