An ESL/TESOL teacher is responsible for helping students learn English no matter what age they are. They are responsible for developing and delivering lesson plans that will encourage students to learn. A few of the main duties of an ESL/TESOL teacher are following school guidelines, tracking student progress, ensuring students follow classroom rules, and maintaining progress reports. An ESL/TESOL teacher should have two years of experience working with ELLs as well as a Bachelor's degree in teaching and preferably a Master's.
