What is a Home Health Nurse?

A home health nurse provides an appropriate nursing care in a residential setting. The ideal nurse will deliver high level of caring and empathy while following the treatment plan to include administering medications, tracking vitals, providing wound and catheter care. Additionally, the home health nurse will chart progress and disposed of hazardous materials in appropriate containers.

The ideal candidate must be an R.N. and have a current unencumbered license by the Board of Nursing and 3+ years of nursing experience in a residential setting. This R.N. will have a wiliness to pass a background check as a part of the hiring process and have reliable transportation to to the residential setting and be able to cover any shift. The R.N. must feel confident in providing nursing care without oversight and be able to create rapport with patient and family members.
