Will Staney Joining Glassdoor as Head Talent Warrior (AKA, Director of Global Talent Acquisition)

Here at Glassdoor, we’re always working hard to help employers recruit and retain top talent. Today, we’re excited to share a key hire of our own – Will Staney  has been named Glassdoor’s Head Talent Warrior (Director of Global Talent Acquisition). In this new role, Will will leverage his expertise in social recruiting, HR data and analytics, and talent networking to build upon Glassdoor’s already successful talent acquisition program. Right now, Glassdoor employs more than 200 employees with 100 more to be hired by the end of 2014 as we continue our global expansion. Will’s recruiting expertise will make a big impact immediately in our global search efforts for top talent.

Prior to joining Glassdoor, Will served as director of recruiting at SAP (formerly SuccessFactors), and as talent acquisition web strategy manager at VMWare, among other HR & recruiting roles throughout his career. In addition to developing world-class talent acquisition programs, Will is an expert and industry leader when it comes to strategic sourcing, social recruiting, recruitment marketing, evaluating and improving candidate experience and more.

Will is also a proven HR influencer, thought leader and industry disruptor, as his practices and views of recruiting and retaining talent have won him several honors, including Workforce Management’s Game Changer Award, Glassdoor’s Talent Warrior Award, and recognition by the Huffington Post as a Top Social Human Resources Expert on Twitter. He’s also a notable HR industry speaker, appearing at conferences and events such as Linkedin Talent Connect, IT18 Tech Talent Conference, HR Tech Europe, Bersin IMPACT, TalentNet Social Recruiting Conference, Sourcing Summit Australia and HCI TA Tech Forum, among others.

He will officially start with Glassdoor in late May 2014. Welcome, Will!
