The Digital Transformation Team

The Digital Transformation Team within Global Business Solutions is passionate about enabling digital solutions that empower our business partners to derive immediate value from innovative tools and technology. Our objective is to connect the business to underlying data assets & tools for analytics, predictive modeling, and automation to generate business value and efficiency. We develop customer centric solutions for our strategic partners based on need, complexity, and process maturity. We also upskill our workforce to use the latest digital tools to drive efficiencies in their daily activities. Further, we collaborate with our global service centers to scale our impact.

As a Member of the Team, You Will

Collaborate with various partners across different business functions to identify, understand, and document business processes
Facilitate workshops to gather business and IT partner objectives, problems, and opportunities, translating them into extraordinary processes and technology enablers
Understand project difficulties and scope of work to deliver solutions using UX skills and teammates
Develop process improvement, system implementation, and project management skills
Contribute to global transformational projects, working closely with business subject matter authorities
Facilitate Empathy Interviews and user research to gather and analyze Voice of the User

Additional Job Description
Qualifications:

Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Instructional Design, UX Design, Visual and Graphic Design, Computer Science with emphasis on Design, Industrial Design, Information Systems with emphasis on Design, or similar
Must be graduating between December 2023 and June 2024
Able to work full time, 40 hours per week during the summer months

Desired Skills:

Positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. A collaborative teammate who learns quickly and can act independently
Ability to work with people within and outside the group, including cross-functional partners
Be able to empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test with various business partners
Exposure to UX processes, Design Thinking, Persona Mapping recommended

Work Location:

This role offers the following work appropriately strategies:

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.

Remote: This position does not require employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis

GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to each student selected for the 2023 Student Program.
