The Independent Living Association (ILA) has been providing high quality care to Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 30 years. Our person-centered services foster increased independence and community integration, while guiding and supporting families along a challenging path.
Function/Skills:
The Accounting Associate will perform Accounting and administrative functions within the Accounting Department, whose essential duties are as follows:
Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller and Assistant Controller with the maintenance of work paper analyses and budgetary information
  • Monitoring of vehicle fleet management by tracking and managing driver performance via Review of GPS systems with appropriate response
  • Assist the Purchasing Department in the scheduling and tracking of all leases and maintenance contracts, as well as assisting the Purchasing Department in the cost/benefit analyses of such agreements.
  • Assist the Purchasing Department in the development and maintenance of statistical price/cost information
  • Assist Assistant Controller with the tracking and depreciation all asset purchases

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Business Management
  • Knowledge of Great Plains General Ledger is preferable.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
