GRAY is the leading design magazine spotlighting the most exciting and innovative design coming out of the Pacific Northwest region, including Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. Covering the best of residential and commercial projects in a broad spectrum of design from architecture and interiors, to fashion and art, to landscape and industrial design. Each issue is filled with engaging features and interviews, studio visits, trends and insights.

We're looking for independent contractors to sell advertising in GRAY's print and digital bimonthly issues, and other media opportunities including but not limited to event sponsorships, video sponsorships, and online advertising. The Account Executive contract positions are for aggressive and experienced closers who are familiar with magazine advertising and the design industry. The positions will require motivated, success oriented, self-starters with plenty of entrepreneurial spirit and positive attitudes to promote and sell advertising solutions. These contract positions offer a unique opportunity to get in on a newer magazine from the ground up. Work from home with flexible hours. Must have reliable vehicle, daily computer/internet access.

• Develop new sales leads and grow the market
• Build relationships by performing sales calls, customer service calls and site visits
• Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with current and new advertising accounts
• Build client base by providing extraordinary service to existing customers and by initiating contact (cold calls) with potential customers
• Make appointments and present advertising options to generate new business
• Manage, service, and support existing clients while generating additional new business

• Meet or exceed bimonthly sales goals
• Meet bimonthly ad close and ad material deadlines
• Must be able to develop positive relationships
• Entrepreneurial spirit and positive, enthusiastic personality
• Represent the magazine in a professional and confident manner
• 2 years outside sales experience, magazine advertising in the design industry preferred
• Excellent communication skills and proficient in communicating via traditional and social media methods
