Our team is looking to add an experienced Architect in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport. The existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team. The position will report to the Program Design Manager or his designee. This position requires the individual to be based at the airport with the program management team. The position will be as part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by one of the JV partners.
Typical responsibilities include:
Assigned work elements will focus primarily on the field of Architecture with a focus on wayfinding, facilities design, design management and design analysis including:
Coordination and oversight of wayfinding elements associated with the program
Stakeholder coordination and management for assigned tasks
Project management of technical needs regarding architectural project/program elements
Provide recommendations for the technical direction of the program
Pre-design support including preparation of Project Definition Documents
Participate in design review process as needed for all program elements
Verify projects comply with program and code requirements
Support the writing of RFQ, RFP and TOSR documents with an architectural project focus
Complete site visits to evaluate and assess site architectural concerns and provide remediation recommendations
Support creation and update of facilities standards and specifications
Evaluation of design alternatives
Provide miscellaneous technical support as required by the program
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for miscellaneous design assignments as directed by the client
Develop engineering calculations, diagrams and technical reports
Assess potential program risks associated with materials, schedule, and costs.
