We are seeking an Associate Director of Food & Beverage. Reporting to the General Manager and Director of Food & Beverage, this energetic leader will oversee and control all Food & Beverage operations to ensure adherence to Hornblower’s exceptional standards, compliance with legal requirements and budgetary guidelines. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a professional attitude and appearance, with front of house and back of house experience, with some culinary background and advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food and beverage/hospitality industry. Experience with multi-unit operations a plus. Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills, with a positive and motivational management style
Evaluate restaurant operations and identify strategies to increase revenue, profitability and guest satisfaction
Responsible for Cash Accounting, invoicing, and ensuring payroll deadlines are met
Resolution of the more complex departmental/guest issues
Ensure monthly and quarterly inventories are completed timely and efficiently.
Participate in vendor sourcing, quality control, budget management and inventory purchasing
Ensure sanitation standards are followed by all crew.
Responsible for Crew Training.
Management and supervision of private and public events as needed
Participating in hire process as well as submitting to HR new hire paperwork.
Monitoring and control of labor and other divisional expenses
Passion for providing outstanding customer service
Culinary/ Hospitality/ Management training preferred
Previous Management experience
Familiarity with ABC laws and practices
Strong computer skills required with POS proficiency
Purchasing and costing experience
TIPS and Sanitation certified
TWIC and MMD credentials are required
