Job Overview:

As a Global Validation Services (GVS) Collection Specialist Open Source

Duties will include:

Producing intelligence derived collected from publicly available information in

response to strategic, operational, and tactical information requirements

Applying knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) and related collection

techniques and tools

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred in

International Studies, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or other related

concentration.

Required Experience:

6 years’ experience performing Open-Source Collection

Desired Experience:

Intelligence Community (IC) experience desired

DHS intelligence analysis experience preferred

6 years of experience working with DHS data sources desired

Knowledge of the DHS I&A intelligence authorities, DHS component missions, and

the role of I&A in supporting the DHS Intelligence Enterprise

Knowledge of I&A intelligence research, analysis, and production process

Knowledge of multiple open-source areas including surface, deep, and dark web

Knowledge of multiple collection techniques or approaches

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, common Open-Source tools, and DHS data

systems.
