Position Overview

The ideal candidate for the Content writer / Contract position should be highly skilled in understanding, developing, and writing key buyer personas to engage, inform, and persuade buyers to research our client's franchise brands. In addition, candidates should be well-versed in inbound marketing strategies and possess the ability to write in a wide range of styles, voices, and formats, including website copy, downloadable content, blog posts, advertising copy, and emails.

In collaboration with our content manager and account directors, content writers will be responsible for crafting audience personas and crafting messaging strategies that embody the client’s brand voice and successfully delivering high-value content across a portfolio of diverse franchise businesses.

Responsibilities

Persona Development – identify key audience segments for specific messaging strategies
Key Messaging Development – research clients to capture important information for messaging
Content Strategy Development – align messaging with personas to attract, convert, and retain customers for client accounts
Content Writing – successfully deliver professional, optimized content in the form of blogs, website copy, and long-form copy (such as ebooks & creative briefs)
Competitor Research – develop an understanding of clients’ competitors to aid in content development
Industry Research – compile industry profiles for us in message development
Proofreading - All content must be reviewed for grammatical and spelling before submitting final work.

Requirements

7-10 years of content strategy development, preferably within an agency setting
Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute strategic insights to craft long term messaging plans to achieve business objectives
Solid understanding of digital marketing, online customer acquisition, and conversion modeling
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing
Superior organizational and analytical skills.
Strong ability to multi-task and work on different projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Effectively write for various different industries including but not limited to restaurants, home services, health care, recreation, finance and education.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor degree in English, marketing, advertising, or communication
