Position Overview:

Our Residential Delivery team continues to be a fast-growing department within AIT, one of the many solutions we provide our clients in the third-party logistics space! Through a nation-wide network, we provide high-quality, customizable solutions for our customers that focus on furniture assembly, outdoor equipment, fitness equipment, game table assembly even appliance hook-ups and disconnects.

AIT is seeking a Customer Service Agent to join the Residential Delivery team! The Customer Service Agent will have the opportunity for assisting in answering internal and external emails, phone calls, and live chats for customers regarding their residential delivery service.

You will be the first point of contact with our clientele so the ability to engage the customer and make them feel great about doing business with us is key to our success in the Residential Delivery vertical of AIT.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and can work in a high pressure, fast-paced work environment.

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:
  • Respond to phone calls, emails and chats from AIT customers and partners regarding consumers inquiring about shipment status, scheduling, claims and/or disputes
  • Monitor the database of scheduling appointments delivery and pick-ups
  • Resolve issues with shipments by engaging with AIT partners, consumers and vendors
  • Provide outstanding and courtesy communication to all customers both internally and externally
  • Identify and accesses customer needs managing a large incoming call volume daily
  • Resolve customer disputes effectively and in a timely manner
  • Emulate and uphold AIT's Core Values/Behaviors
The working hours for this role would be Monday Friday, 9 AM 6 PM

Other Skills We Hope to See:
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least one (1) year in a call center or Customer Service role
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to develop new ideas and innovative solutions
  • Detail-oriented individual with great communication skill; oral and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Knowledge of the AS400/World port system(s) preferred but not needed
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explore)
  • Team player to lend a helping hand
  • Superb phone etiquette skills
  • Ability to multi-task multiple tasks/assignments with great attention to detail and organizational skills
