What You Will Do

As an Associate with St. Vincent's Health Services-, you will have the opportunity to

Initial contact for the public. Handles inquiries, completes correspondence, accepts private payments and posts cash on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains/portrays a professional/knowledgeable atmosphere for dealing with the public on a daily basis. Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Accurately posts payments received. Produces receipts as required.
  • Scans documents including correspondence and Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • Answers incoming phone calls. Documents patient inquiries on the electronic patient account.
  • Reviews and processes patient refunds within established standards from the point of discovery, notification or assignment.
  • Addresses patient concerns within established standards from the point of discovery or notification.
  • Attends all team and department meetings.
  • Other Duties as assigned
What You Will Need

Education:
  • HS or Equivalent
    • Associates Degree preferred
Work Experience:
  • Experience working with health Insurnace billing and/or claims processing through employment with Insurance company or health provider. Excellent customer service skills, as well as customer service experience desired. Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare, credit card or banking environment.
