The Director of Finance & Accounting will oversee and effectively manage the financial operations and accounting processes for all 3 franchise concepts by developing, implementing and maintaining the necessary structures, processes, controls and reporting to maximize the return on financial assets and to ensure legal and regulatory compliance. The right candidate will have solid experience in a retail environment (franchise experience would be excellent), in establishing departmental structure and processes, and with complex organizational structures.
Develops and maintains timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the business needs and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data.
Guides financial decisions by providing analysis of financial information to owners.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advises management of actions and potential risks.
Arranges for audits as required and appropriate.
Manages budgets and controls expenses effectively.
Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing cash balances and making investments.
Oversees audit and tax functions, coordinates activities with outside audit firms and reviews firms performance
