Reporting to the Vice President of Growth, Marketing, the Director of SEO will be responsible for the management and leadership of enterprise-scale SEO and organic search marketing strategies, innovation, and programs including onsite optimization, product initiatives, cross-functional collaboration engaging content development, and analysis and reporting.
The role requires leadership skills in technical SEO, content SEO, site management, campaign management, reporting, and analyzing trends & insights. She/he will also work closely with multiple internal teams including Marketing, Site/UX, Merchandising, and IT/Development. This search marketing subject-matter-expert will provide data-driven insights to support projects and initiatives that will become part of Lulus’ powerful platform for engaging customers.
Lead and develop a team of professionals responsible for the company’s SEO strategy and project roadmaps that apply the most progressive technologies and SEO tools for the implementation of a best-in-class, industry-leading D2C commerce program that is in line with the business’s overall goals and objectives.
Combine technical expertise, strategic insight, and creativity to develop a unique SEO approach, positioning Lulus as one of the most digitally astute fashion & apparel brands.
Conduct deep dives into Search data to determine consumer behavior in the consumer apparel market and translate to opportunities across all digital search platforms.
Work with internal content and creative teams to implement SEO strategies and best practices for content categories, design, and migration strategies. Work closely with the engineering teams to implement technical SEO best practices.
Create SEO awareness across the Lulus organization and engender strong collaboration on SEO needs across the organization.
Achieve monthly and yearly customer acquisition and revenue performance targets while ensuring budget guidelines and ROI goals.
Harness experience thought leadership, and competitive research to implement SEO recommendations for website architecture, content, internal linking, and other factors to improve positions for target keywords and online visibility.
Increase organic search-driven revenue through the implementation of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO projects through A/B testing, and analysis to ensure a successful engagement with the target audience.
Diligently monitor, audit, and analyze ranking data to ensure SEO performance (URL structure, navigation structure, canonicalization, contextual links, sitemaps, robots.txt, and social). Conduct relevant SEO research on the market and business’s content to identify trends, opportunities, and shifts in the competitive landscape to maximize Lulus’ SEO opportunities, improve rankings, attract more organic traffic, and increase conversion.
Monitor and evaluate SEO industry best practices and search demand trends to identify and implement opportunities for traffic growth.
At least (7) years’ experience successfully designing and delivering SEO strategy and execution with an in-depth understanding of the ever-evolving search engine ranking process. Strong preference for work on behalf of digitally native eCommerce brands, utilizing large-scale SEO practices, driving success in all-digital experiences.
Possession of a highly quantitative approach for developing SEO reporting and surfacing insights for executive-level discussions with a passion for collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams on aligning SEO and business strategies company-wide.
Highly organized self-starter and proven team leader to mentor and guide the SEO team development and operations across all SEO functions.
Deep knowledge of and fluency in SEO tools such as Google/Adobe Analytics, Webmaster Tools, BrightEdge/Conductor, SEOMOZ, ahref, DeepCrawl, and similar tools. Strong understanding of the various attribution models associated with SEO (First-Touch, Last-Touch, Linear, Time Decay, etc.).
Fluent in Technical SEO, in areas such as Canonical Tags and Schema Markup with Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Schema Markup, Meta Data, and SEO tags.
Team player with the ability to effectively communicate SEO projects/initiatives and clearly explain SEO concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
Bachelor’s degree required.
