Earn And Learn Teaching Fellowship

Our Organization: TeachStart provides an Earn and Learn pathway, helping people accelerate their careers by supporting them to become teachers, while offering a full-time pay, benefits and high-quality training. Our goal is to create economic opportunity for fellows while helping schools address the ongoing teacher shortage.

The Role: The TeachStart Fellowship is a career accelerator designed to give Fellows a variety of experiences in teaching while providing training and benefits.

Our fellows receive foundational training before they begin work, and then teach as substitute teachers with our partner Scoot Education. During that time, they receive paid days off, paid training days, and support completing their credentialing coursework.

TeachStart helps to cover the upfront costs for becoming a substitute and offers a reduced fee for coursework with our credentialing partner.

At the end of the Fellowship, we support Fellows to attain full-time employment as a Lead Teacher.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA
