Explore Microsoft is a 12-week summer internship program specifically designed for students in their first or second year of a bachelor’s degree program who would like to learn more about careers in software development through a collaborative learning program.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience with various tools and programming languages in the field of software development.
Work closely with your Manager, Mentors, and a group of interns to evaluate requirements, estimate costs, create and implement features and services.
Experience core tech disciplines (Technical Program Manager or Product Manager, and Software Engineer) during the 12-week internship.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Must be second-year student with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program within the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
Completed an Introduction to Computer Science course (or equivalent class) as well as one semester of calculus (or equivalent) by the start of the program.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated interest in majoring in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or related technical major.

The base pay range for this internship is USD $24.08 - $44.00 per hour. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $34.58 - $49.11 per hour.
