The mission of Detroit Vegan Soul is to help people live healthier lives by providing great-tasting, high-quality, nutritious vegan food that appeals to everyone, while at the same time doing our part to support a sustainable earth.

The perfect Line Cook for Detroit Vegan Soul(DVS) is one with 2+ years cook and food prep experience in a casual dine-in restaurant and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining the ability to work calmly and quickly under pressure. Someone with a strong work ethic; able to take direction & work in a team environment with natural attention to detail and demonstrated passion and appreciation for quality food and guest satisfaction and the ability to work a flexible schedule up to 30 hours per week. DVS Line Cooks assist on all stations, Pantry-Grill, Fry-Sauté, and Expo. That’s why it’s very important for the right candidate to also have demonstrated experience as an Expo in a restaurant like DVS.

All DVS team members have a direct impact on each of our guest’s experience from every meal we serve in our restaurant. We take great pride in our quality food and clean, efficient kitchen. DVS has two locations, our Eastside nestled in Detroit’s historic West Village, at 8029 Agnes St., two blocks north of East Jefferson between Van Dyke & Parker and our Westside location in the Grandmont-Rosedale Park community at 19614 Grand River Ave. between Outer Drive and Evergreen.

Pay Rate: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour based on experience
