Our client in the REIT industry is looking for an Interim Fund Accountant to join their team for the next 4 - 5 months. This person will ideally have 2+ years of experience in accounting and at minimum 1 year of experience in the Real Estate industry.

In addition, this candidate must be comfortable working 3 days onsite in a hybrid capacity in Chicago. This is a full time CONTRACT role, working 40-45/Hrs. a week.

The Interim Fund Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for financial close
Responsible for calculating and recording G&A accruals
Responsible for calculating and recording noncontrolling interest entries
Responsible for recording valuation mark to market and waterfall adjustments
Prepare various sets of financial statements and footnotes
Assist with support for SEC documents in relation to joint ventures
Analyze and review the balance sheet and P&L of assigned entities
Assist with preparation and review of monthly internal reporting package
Prepare various journal entries
Review bank reconciliations
Prepare various analyses as called upon by management

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
2+ years’ experience in accounting
1+ years' experience in Real Estate
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: $50 - $65/Hr.
