The wholesale division of Morris Columbus Travel develops, sales and operates escorted tours all over the world – some with a focus on the LDS faith and those destinations of interest as well as worldwide tourism destinations. Our client base is primarily 55+ age group, couples and individuals who book our tours but also consist of families/private groups and other organizations in which we develop private group travel for their specific needs.

We are seeking to add a full time (40 hours)/in-office member of our department team. You will need to have a positive, take-charge attitude of all your assigned tours. You will be required to learn your tour product, ensure all features are booked properly, manage inventory, make and take sales calls, communicate with clients and vendors and all other responsibilities to complete a successful program. We will be willing to train the right person in group operations but must have a travel back ground.

The major skills set we are looking for are exceptional salesmanship, exact attention to detail and above quality customer service. Other very important attributes will be the ability to work independently as well as with the team, take accountability for your work, self-motivated and ability to multi-task successfully. We need someone reliable, consistent, who has an “excited” outlook of travel and can excite the traveler as well, who can handle stressful situations with a calm disposition and mold into our department family.

Responsibilities Include:

· Managing assigned tours in every aspect from beginning to end (to be outlined)

· Be responsible to maintain all deadlines and important payment dates

· Return all calls and emails timely with clear communication

· Work with marketing to reach sales goals for each tour

· Responsibly manage the client’s personal information

· Participate in company marketing events and tour nights

· Maintain quality & professionalism at all times in behavior and appearance

· Other possible administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

· Needs to be technically savvy with the ability to learn our tour management system quickly.

· Advance knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. It would be helpful to know PowerPoint and be comfortable with basic modern-day computer programs & social media skills a plus

· Be proficient with Sabre GDS preferred

· Must have prior travel sales experience. Preferably experienced managing group reservations and group tours.

· Highly organized with careful attention to details

· Strong communication & sales skills. Comfortable asking for the sale, referrals and future business

· Motivated to see department excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
