The purpose of this role is to assist in the support of information security solutions to protect the organization from cyber-attacks. In this role, you will monitor computer networks, business applications, cloud systems, and operations technology for security vulnerabilities and threats. Responsibilities:

• INFORMATION SECURITY MONITORING – Responsible for continuously improving Information Security monitoring controls, the company SIEM, and the development of IOC’s for defense countermeasures. Collaborates with Information Security Analysts, IT Operations, and IT Applications teams to monitor all infrastructure and cloud technology to detect, analyze and respond to security threats.
• INCIDENT RESPONSE – Responsible for providing security expertise to quickly identify, contain, eradicate, and recover from cyber-attacks. Documents and communicates all delays, roadblocks, and overall progress throughout an incident lifecycle to technology department staff and
• MALWARE DEFENSE – Responsible for administering and maintaining endpoint protection software to prevent ransomware and to reduce risk of various malware (viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, adware, crimeware, rootkits, and etc). Participate in malware analysis and reverse engineering of threat
• Additional daily activities could also include collaborating with Manager of Information Security, IT Administrators, and IT Management regarding Risk Assessments, Security Architecture, Security Awareness Training, Information Security Policies, Physical Security, Cloud Security, and Threat
• Other technology work-related duties as

Qualifications:

• Experience Required: 1+ years of experience in an Information Security related
• Education Required: Associate or Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related technology
• Familiar with monitoring threats through Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and how they relate to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience with event log management, SYSLOG, and SIEM.
• Experience with endpoint protection software and malware defenses for the prevention of ransomware.
• Highly motivated and a self-starter.
