JOB SUMMARY
:


Responsible for the administration of the Meridian Link system as well as the real estate loan origination system and the lending early warning systems. Perform administrative duties for the lending department as directed by the Chief Lending Officer. The Administrative Assistant must be able to work in an environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and member service oriented. This individual will have the ability to exercise independent judgment in a variety of high-level situations, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. This position will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and highly confidential matters with the utmost discretion and tact.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma (G.E.D. certificate).
  • Associate's degree (preferred), or three (3) plus years of experience in a Financial Institution or equivalent field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge/experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and be able to type.
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the members and general public.

Executive Support

  • Completes a broad variety of high-level administrative tasks for the CLO including: Vendor Management Responsibilities; composing and preparing confidential correspondence.
  • Performs complex and confidential administrative functions including the development of correspondence. Communicates directly, and on behalf of the CLO and other on matter related to CLO's initiatives.
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the CLO including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Recommends appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
  • Works closely and effectively with the CLO to keep him/her informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Keeps the CLO updated on issues taking place in the lending environment.
  • Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the lending department, and manages a variety of special projects for the CLO, some of which may have organizational impact.
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting letters, correspondence, and other tasks that facilitate the CLO's ability to effectively lead the lending department.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles all matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Professionally represents the credit union to the public, members, businesses, and other entities at the request of the CLO at various events and meetings.
  • Communicate projects, deadlines, and announcements for Lending Staff.

Essential Tasks:

Responsible for the administration of the Meridian Link and Real Estate Loan origination systems.

  • Responsible for the administration of the early warning systems.
  • Responsible for the administration of the design, implementation and tracking of all loan promotions.
  • Review and approve loan account maintenance requests.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and updating of all loan policies and procedure manuals.
  • Review regulations as they apply to lending.
  • Assist with implementation of new loan products and procedures and necessary training.
  • Serve as a backup loan processor for Senior Manager level.
  • Maintain proficient Word/Excel and letter writing skills.
  • Understand compliance issues & attends training as they relate to Administrative Assistant, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; Reg P; Patriot Act, Reg. Z, Safe Act and Reg. B.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Physical Demands - Requires sitting for long periods of time, some standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting, grasping and fine hand coordination. Visual and aural acuity required. Finger and hand dexterity required. Must be able to lift 20 pounds maximum, with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Requires ability to read and write English and ability to communicate with members and personnel. Must have ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions. Requires ability to remain calm under stress.
  • Work Conditions - Inside.
  • Job Related Travel - As required.
