Our client has a direct hire opportunity for a great Mechanical Engineer. This company has a dynamic team of Engineers, Designers, and CAD Technicians within a multi-office mid-Atlantic firm, offering a wide array of engineering, architectural, surveying, planning and construction services.

The ideal candidate has knowledge in HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Fire Protection with experience in delivering projects on time and on budget.

Job Duties:

• Design, draft and collaborate with mechanical engineering team
• Participate in project design team and client meetings
• Work with other design teams to complete projects
• Conduct site visits for existing facilities and gather information
• Calculate HVAC loads, energy use and alternative life cycle costs
• Prepare mechanical design drawings (plans, construction details, controls, specifications, etc.)
• Generate project-specific construction specifications
• Write reports such as project scope definition and schematic design narratives
• Oversee construction contract administration
• Travel for site visits and client meetings may be required

Job Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Professional Engineering License (Required)
• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is preferred
• +5 years of experience in mechanical system design (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) (preferred/not required)
• Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ICC, ASHRAE, and NFPA) is a plus

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
