Position Description

Sol Oriens is looking for a self-motivated professional program analyst to assist the National
Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) manage a large, complex nuclear weapon sustainment
program. The successful applicant will work with a team of Federal employees and associate
contractor staff to analyze nuclear systems acquisition plans, develop and update program
management task and schedule documents, develop program funding profiles, draft and refine
budgetary language to Congress, and help manage performance of budgeted authorized work.

Required Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large acquisition or sustainment program data
  • Demonstrated abilities in writing/maintaining program management plans
  • Experience building, analyzing, and maintaining schedules

  • Five years of experience with the Phase 6.X process or the DOD Acquisition system
  • Evidence of strong skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project
  • Evidence of ability to perform detail-oriented, focused activities and manage diverse
data inputs.
  • Bachelors’ degree

Preferred Education or Experience

  • Experience working in support of NNSA, and nuclear weapons program missions
  • Understanding of configuration management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Primavera P6 experience
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to perform in a dynamic environment.

  • Submit to and pass a background check and drug screening
  • Be willing to work in multiple teams under demanding professional schedule pressure
  • Must demonstrate self-motivated habits, professional demeanor, have a demonstrated
background of exemplary interpersonal and communications skills
  • Possess a current DOD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance. Unfortunately, if you don’t
currently hold a DOD TS or a DOE Q, please know that you are not qualified for this
