Established in Denmark in 1933, DEIF is a global leader in the manufacturing and supply of power generation controls for the temporary power, critical power, and microgrid/hybrid power industries. Our customers are primarily in the Land, Marine & Offshore markets. Our headquarters still reside in Denmark, with an additional eleven subsidiaries worldwide.
We are looking for the perfect candidate who can develop and prepare a customer care program for the future. In cooperation with the General Manager, you will play an essential role in creating a support system that both customers and colleagues “can’t live without”. You will furthermore act as the glue at the office as most of your colleagues (sales, service and support) are on continuous travel.
We expect you to drive, support and execute a number of different tasks, which require a robust and supportive attitude, as well as extensive experience in office, HR and event management.
The tasks of the job include:
Supporting the General Manager with administrative tasks – i.e. HR tasks, cost reports, attendance records, organizing meetings, basic accounting task and travel – taking care of visiting colleagues and guest.
Maintain office operations – i.e. order office supplies, shipping and mail, vendor management, facility management, phone system, general office duties.
Supporting the Technical Team with administrative tasks – i.e. customer training, documentation, etc.
Accounting tasks i.e. deposit of checks, credit card payment, general banking.
Send out invoices, reminders and statement of accounts, follow-up on payments.
Collect tax-exempt and reseller certificates.
Coordinating exhibition related tasks – i.e. booking of exhibition, updating booth layout, booking of hotels to ensure a smooth and successful execution, shipping materials, etc.
Lead and follow-up on team meetings and sales meetings.
Supporting Sales Managers with administrative tasks including, but not limited to entering information into our systems, expense reporting, travel bookings etc.
Participate in relevant internal seminars regionally (Americas) and worldwide.
What does it take to apply? We expect you to have a broad experience – in particular you:
Have a bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or an associate degree with 7+ years of experience and a solid track record in office, HR and event management, preferably from a similar position. Industry experience will be prioritized
Are proficient in Microsoft Office and a fast learner in new IT tools and social medias i.e. creating/adjusting intranet pages
Are flexible, proactive and are driven by taking on new challenges of different nature
Have strong organizational skills, are supportive and have the courage to challenge people, combined with a high degree of enthusiasm and commitment
Can multi-task with attention to detail and are able to make independent judgement.
Are excellent in communicating verbally as well as in writing
Have a valid driver’s license and passport (or the ability to get a passport) and willing to travel up to max. 4 weeks per year
Have the ability to lift 25 lbs. safely and stand for extended periods of time when being present at trade shows and/or training seminars.
