Alto Pharmacy is seeking a Patient Care Pharmacist to be a key member on our quickly growing team. The Patient Care Pharmacist team is responsible for getting accurate prescriptions to patients safely and to empower patients with clinical knowledge to optimize health outcomes. You will have an opportunity to work in clinical roles, coordinating with the patient care and operations teams to ensure safe, timely delivery. As our operations grow, you will have the opportunity to improve the existing processes and work directly with the engineering team to improve our internal systems. What you would do:
  • Work closely with members of the team to manage patients medications and overall health, including but not limited to:
    • Providing in-person or remote patient consultations
    • Making therapeutic decisions, prioritizing patient health
    • Facilitating the transferring of medications
    • Working collaboratively with physicians and clinics to receive, clarify and verify prescription orders
    • Controlling medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions
    • Advise patients about general health topics, such as diet, exercise, and managing stress, and on other issues, such as what equipment or supplies would be best to treat a health problem
  • Provide support for product impact assessments when gaps in product, processes and quality systems are identified; and provide recommendation of appropriate actions
  • Work interactively with cross-functional teams to achieve company business and compliance goals/objectives.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory and industry standards that are relevant, and ensure that appropriate action is initiated and communicate these trends to applicable personnel.
  • 2+ years of working experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Strong positive attitude, good work ethic, sound clinical acumen and empathy for our patients
  • Extremely organized, analytical, adept at prioritizing, and detail oriented
  • Scrappiness and resourcefulness, and excited about working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Enthusiastic about providing an outstanding patient experience, and excels at providing service to patients via phone, text, and email
  • Interested in diving into everything that makes a pharmacy tick, from inventory to patient education
  • Ability to build and scale efficient operations
  • Understands how software can be used to improve business processes
  • Positive and energetic, and uses opportunities to go above and beyond to wow patients.
  • Excellent computer organizational skills including experience with MAC OS applications, Google Apps, and database applications
  • Ability to act effectively as a member of a team to resolve problems.
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
